Caridad Moro-Gronlier will guide a generative poetry workshop in the Richmond Cottage at The Deering Estate on archetypal images, symbology, and ancient memory as inspired by the tarot.

The strength of tarot poetry is that it is easily adaptable to each participant’s experience and perspective. To further inspire their poems, participants will be given the opportunity to explore the property from a historical, cultural, environmental, and personal perspective.

After a guided writing workshop that incorporates poetry inspired by the tarot and Deering Estate history, participants will be asked to “pick a card” and write original poems based on their interpretation and creative response to the card in question. After this targeted, generative writing session, participants can share their poems in an open mic format.
