In celebration of ReWild Miami’s victory to block a destructive water park in Zoo Miami’s neighboring pine rockland forest, this event will begin with a guided hike through one of South Florida’s last remaining pine rockland forests led by ReWild Miami organizer, Zac Cosner, followed by a poetry workshop in reverence of the fragile flora and fauna endemic to South Florida, and culminating in a gathering by the fire.
Alexandra Martinez is a Cuban-American writer and filmmaker whose reporting spans such topics as the affordable housing crisis, art-washing, and worker’s rights.
