National Book Critics Circle Award-winning poet Frank Bidart headlines a magical evening of poetry at one of Miami’s most iconic locations, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens.
The evening culminates a month-long poetry initiative at Vizcaya in which visitors were invited to write poems in the gardens according to prompts created by poet Nick Vagnoni.

Frank Bidart is a winner of the Wallace Stevens Award from the American Academy of Poets, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the Rebekka Bobbitt Prize from the Library of Congress, in addition to being a finalist for The Pulitzer Prize and The National Book Award. His most recent collection is Metaphysical Dog (FSG, 2013).
Peg Boyers was born in San Tomé, Venezuela, but spent her childhood on the move, living in such countries as Libya, Italy, Indonesia, and Cuba. Her collections of poetry are Hard Bread (2002), Honey with Tobacco (2007), and To Forget Venice (2014). A lecturer in the English Department at Skidmore College and adjunct professor at Columbia University, Boyers is the executive editor of Salmagundi.
