The Rhythm Arts Poetry Production ("RAPP") is a pilot poet-in-residence project for North Dade Middle School “Expressive Art” students. The project is commissioned by O,Miami and co-produced by the Opa-locka Community Development Corporation.

The eight-week long poetry program for Opa Locka middle schoolers is led by Shameka “Poetry” Thomas, culminating with a showcase of the students’ original poetry, spoken word, and literary works as part of O, Miami’s annual poetry festival in April.
