Poetry in Service: A Poetry Dinner at Recoveco

Join us for an evening of dining and poetry at Recoveco, where words and light intertwine in a poetic installation.

As part of "Soy de todas partes"—a civic publishing project celebrating the immigrant experience—a poetry vinyl will be installed on Recoveco’s window, casting the poem’s shadow into the restaurant at just the right time of day.

The evening will feature a four-course tasting menu with wine pairings:

First Course | Chicken liver mousse / jam / caramelized milkbread toast
Second Course | Fried snapper / morita / pickled egg cream
Third Course | Beef / banana and coffee au poivre / potato
Fourth Course | Cheesecake / blueberries / white chocolate

There will also be a participatory element inspired by "Soy de todas partes"—during which, guests are warmly encouraged to share any poems written during the dinner.

"Soy de todas partes" aims to install 100 resident poems across Miami-Dade County, using poetry as a tool for empathy, understanding, and public art. By partnering with local venues and enlisting artists and tradespeople, O, Miami brings poetry into everyday spaces, celebrating the richness of Miami’s majority-minority community.

As implied by its name, meaning “nook” or “cranny” in Spanish, Recoveco is an intimate spot with an open kitchen and a rotating menu dictated by products’ best availability and taste. A carefully selected list of wines and unique beers complements an intentional and dynamic menu.
