What if the public art we pass every day could engage with us through the human gift of language by prompting us to write poetry?
12 sculptures–6 on the University of Miami campus and 6 throughout the City of Coral Gables–will be activated with yard signs featuring poetry prompts that invite passersby to follow a QR code and submit their own poems inspired by the artwork.
Need a little more inspiration? Each yard sign includes an original poem by Mia Leonin in response to the sculpture.
Celebrate Dear Human with us at the Concepto 1 Plaza in Coral Gables on Friday, April 12. Join us over light bites and drinks for poetry readings and activations.
